For every $100 that you give
to your home congregation
in 2009

Ninety Dollars
normally stays in your congregation to help it support mission and ministry in your congregation and community.

Ten Dollars
is given for the larger work of the church (a tithe):
$4.65 supports the national and global work of the ELCA
$5.35 supports the regional and synodical work of the NT-NL
  • $2.82 for the ministry of the bishop and the support staff
  • .74 for the work of DiscipleLife, mission starts, youth and Hispanic ministry
  • .72 to promote vocations, support to rostered leaders, and carry out call process
  • .62 for administration, communication, and goverance
  • .45 to support our various agencies, institutions and organizations
