Join us as we read and discuss the ELCA’s Social Statement on Race, Ethnicity, and Culture, paying particular attention to its biblical and theological foundations.
Led by Pr. Chuck Hubbard (Gloria Dei, Garland).

If you would like to be a part of this event but live outside the DFW Metroplex, please contact the Mission Area office at MissionOffice@ntnl.org to talk about online participation options.
We will then look at each of the three major sections of the social statement: “Facing God”, “Facing Obstacles”, “Doing Justice”.
The questions that will be asked as we examine these sections:
- What did you find strikingly helpful or important?
- What more do believe should have been said? Try to identify some biblical and/or theological grounding for your comments.
Finally, we will be asking ourselves: In what way might the contents of this document and our discussion about it give shape and energy for our work today?
