2016 NT-NL Mission Assembly
April 22-24 in Arlington, TX
At this assembly, we elected a new bishop of the NT-NL Mission Area: Pastor Erik Gronberg

With this assembly, the congregations and leaders of the NT-NL Mission Area conclude our journey with Jesus into the world under our over-arching theme: ReNewing DiscipleLife.
Our whole life is a journey of DiscipleLife; our call is to go with Jesus, to follow him into the world, to understand and lift up those whom God has given us, and to proclaim Good News ¡TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH!
In 2001 we claimed as a six year focus the “Great Mission Commission” and the scripture from Matthew commending us to follow Jesus’ command to make disciples in “all the earth.”
In 2014, we journeyed with Jesus to ¡SAMARIA! where we learned about and touched the lives of those on the margins of society.
In 2015, we journeyed with Jesus to ¡SINAI! where we met Jesus in the deserts of our lives and on the mountaintops. We dedicated the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Mission Center at Briarwood and celebrated the end of our DiscipleLife Alive! Campaign.
Now we end 16 years of our DiscipleLife vision where we began, with Jesus at the Mount of Ascension, where He gave his Great Commission to His disciples:
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and ¡TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH! (Acts 1:8)
With this focus our Assembly will have a Global ♦ Glocal flavor as we consider and celebrate how we as a Mission Area are in Mission in the world asking the question:
Theme Scripture: Matthew 28:16-20 & Acts 1:8
