The Spiritual Gifts Assessment tool is a quick survey you can take to identify your spiritual gifts. After you have completed the survey, you will receive a document highlighting your spiritual gifts.
In the links below, you will find a brief explanation of each spiritual gift, along with some examples of service.

Now there are varieties of gifts,
but the same Spirit;
and there are varieties of service,
but the same Lord;
and there are varieties of working,
but it is the same God who inspires them all in every one.
1 Corinthians 12:4-6
Spiritual gifts are tools that God gives to do the work of ministry. Spiritual gifts were given to you at baptism and are meant to be a source of joy in your Christian life and are to be used.
This is a divine calling, because what God has gifted you to do, He has called you to do.
Some individuals are gifted with many natural spiritual gifts that are easily associated with numerous ministries. The intent of the survey is to match spiritual gifts and church ministries as close as possible and for you to have numerous opportunities within your congregation to apply those gifts.
As you read your profile, you may need to evaluate which ministries are most closely associated with your gift and where you feel most called. Please review your personalized report and pray about how God wants to use you so that when you meet with your Pastor, you have an idea of where you will serve.
In the links below you will find general information about how your spiritual gifts might apply within a congregational setting. The strengths might also suggest that you should inquire about a church vocation such as ordained ministry. If so, please take a look at the ELCA’s Department for Candidacy.
